Same-day service explained
With a same day courier in Glasgow, one driver loads your goods at your Glasgow address and takes them directly to the delivery point, with no depot, no sorting and no other customers' stops on the way.
Most of what leaves Glasgow with us is work a parcel network can't finish today: papers for the Sheriff Court on Carlton Place, a pump part for a Polmadie workshop with a job waiting, stock for a Buchanan Street shop before the doors open, or cases of kit for a show at the SEC. We work back from the deadline to set the collection time, the van and the handover.
Local collection, nationwide reach
We collect anywhere in the city, from George Square and the Broomielaw out to Whiteinch, Robroyston, Cathcart and Carmyle, for a short run across Glasgow or a direct journey to another part of Britain. The van, the route and the timings are agreed before you commit.

Why dedicated delivery
The practical booking factors that decide how an urgent Glasgow collection runs: the journey, the collection timing, the vehicle, the site access, the communication and the record at the end.
The consignment travels from the booked collection point to the destination on the dedicated journey rather than being routed through a parcel sorting network.
For urgent work, the exact postcode and readiness time are checked against available vehicles so the collection expectation is clear before confirmation.
Dimensions, weight, pallet count and access determine whether a small van or a larger commercial vehicle is the better option.
Reception procedures, loading bays, security, timed slots and contact details can be recorded before the driver arrives.
Delivery updates make it easier for the sender and recipient to manage a time-critical handover.
A delivery record closes the job and gives the sender confirmation that the consignment reached the destination.
Booking process
A four-stage process built around the actual route, load and deadline.
Send both postcodes, item details, readiness time, deadline and any access instructions.
Flextro matches the job to an appropriate vehicle and confirms the booking details before dispatch.
The assigned courier attends the collection point, checks the handover and starts the direct journey.
The consignment is handed over at destination and proof of delivery completes the booking.
Dedicated vs network delivery
The dedicated model is useful when the delivery needs to move as one job rather than enter a shared parcel network.

Glasgow service area
Our drivers collect from offices, shops, workshops, studios, market traders and homes all over the city: the solicitors and accountants of Blythswood and the Merchant City, the engineering and trade units of Polmadie, Blochairn and Queenslie, the media companies at Pacific Quay, the university buildings at Gilmorehill, and the tenements of Dennistoun, Govanhill and Partick. Before you book we check who is free near your collection postcode.
The M8 runs straight through the middle of Glasgow, crossing the Clyde on the Kingston Bridge, and links to the M80 for Stirling, the M77 for Ayrshire and the M74 for Carlisle and England. The Clyde Tunnel joins Whiteinch and Govan without going through the centre. A load ready by mid-morning will normally reach Edinburgh or Stirling before lunch, Dundee or Carlisle early in the afternoon, and Manchester by the end of the working day.
Type the destination to open its local page, or start a quote for any UK postcode.
Local operating context
In Glasgow the time goes in two places: the M8 through the centre and the last few hundred metres. The Kingston Bridge and the stretch past Charing Cross queue at both peaks, the pedestrian streets mean the obvious address often isn't where a van can stop, and bus gates such as Union Street and Oswald Street beside Central Station have their own rules. An SEC show, a concert at the Hydro or a game at Celtic Park, Ibrox or Hampden changes the local roads for hours. The exact postcode, the loading entrance, a contact who answers and an honest ready time save more than any shortcut.
Pick the van for the load rather than the distance. A small van takes most delivery in Glasgow, from contracts and samples to a few boxed screens going between offices. A Luton or a tail-lift van suits pallets from Queenslie, shop fittings for the Merchant City or show stands for the SEC. The city centre is a Low Emission Zone, so tell us if the drop is inside it and we'll plan the van with that in mind.
Glasgow route examples
Most same-day work out of Glasgow starts in one of four places, and each comes with its own kind of deadline.
Productions, signed contracts and closing papers between firms in Blythswood and the Merchant City, the Sheriff Court on the south bank and the High Court at the Saltmarket.
Document courier →Pallets, motor parts and replacement components leaving the city's yards for a customer who can't wait for a network delivery tomorrow.

Business courier →Stands, printed graphics, camera cases and merchandise that have to be inside a hall or a studio by a set time, booked against the venue's slot.

Urgent replenishment, replacement orders, samples and store-to-store stock movements.
Replacement components, site tools, IT hardware and business equipment needed without a next-day delay.

Vehicle choice
Tell us the dimensions, weight, pallet count and loading method. Flextro can then match the booking to an appropriate vehicle rather than guessing from item type alone.

1.3 × 1.2 × 1.0 m
Documents, cartons, IT equipment and smaller business consignments.
Choose Small Van →
2.1 × 1.2 × 1.4 m
General commercial loads where more floor space is needed than a small van.

3.3 × 2.0 × 1.7 m
Bulky goods, trade equipment and suitable palletised consignments.
Choose LWB Van →
4.2 × 1.2 × 1.75 m
Longer or higher-volume loads requiring additional usable cargo space.
Choose XLWB Van →
4.2 × 2.0 × 2.1 m
Large and awkward consignments where loading method and access are confirmed first.
Choose Luton Van →Give us the dimensions, approximate weight and quantity. We can match the vehicle to your consignment and confirm the realistic same-day plan for the Glasgow collection.
Help me choose a vehicleChoose “Not sure — help me choose” in the quote form and Flextro will match the van to your Glasgow collection and its access.
Business demand
Glasgow makes its money in very different parts of town: law and finance in the centre, engineering and wholesale on the east and south-side estates, shopping on Buchanan Street and in the West End, and broadcasting, shows and music along the river.
Court papers, deeds and signed agreements for firms in Blythswood, the Merchant City and around the courts.
View relevant service →Store transfers, urgent customer orders and display kit for Buchanan Street, Argyle Street and the shops of Byres Road and Shawlands.
View relevant service →Produce boxes from Blochairn, trade orders and stock moves for merchants and motor factors around the city.
View relevant service →Spares, tooling and machined parts for workshops at Polmadie, Carntyne and Queenslie, where a stopped job costs more than the van.
View relevant service →Proofs, drives, camera kit and props for broadcasters at Pacific Quay and agencies in Finnieston and the Merchant City.
View relevant service →Stands, AV kit and merchandise for the SEC and the Hydro, the Barrowland and the stadiums at Hampden, Ibrox and Celtic Park.
View relevant service →Pricing
A courier in Glasgow is priced on the job in front of us rather than a flat city rate: the miles, the van the load needs, how soon it must go, access at each end and any time spent waiting.
A small van from the Merchant City to Shawlands and a Luton taking pallets from Queenslie to Manchester are completely different jobs, so the figure comes from your two postcodes, what you're sending and when it has to arrive. You see it before you book.
The quote is confirmed before the booking is accepted, and the agreed price is the price you pay.

Questions before booking
What people ask before booking courier services in Glasgow, answered by the team that plans the runs.
That depends on where the nearest free driver is, where in the city you are and when the goods will actually be ready. When you ask for a quote we check availability against your postcode and give you a collection time before you book, so you're deciding on real information rather than a sales line.
The whole city: the centre and the Merchant City, Finnieston and the West End out to Whiteinch, the north from Cowcaddens to Robroyston, Govan and Pacific Quay, the Southside down to Cathcart, and the East End out to Carmyle and Queenslie. Towns just beyond the boundary, such as Dumbarton and Airdrie, have their own pages.
Yes. Hillington, Renfrew and the airport sit closer to our Paisley page, so their collection details live there. Likewise Hamilton and Motherwell to the south-east each have a page of their own. A Glasgow-to-Paisley run is about 9 miles, usually 20 to 35 minutes.
Yes, if the goods are ready early. Central London is about 403 miles from Glasgow by road, mostly on the M6 and M74, which is usually seven and a half to nine hours of driving before rest stops. A morning collection in London normally reaches Glasgow in the evening. Going the other way, a Glasgow collection by early morning lands in London that evening.
Edinburgh is about 46 miles along the M8, usually an hour and ten minutes to an hour and three-quarters depending on the time of day. Stirling is about 26 miles up the M80, usually 40 minutes to an hour, and Falkirk about 23 miles. A Glasgow collection at 09:00 can be signed for in Edinburgh well before lunch.
Yes. Perth is about 59 miles, usually an hour and a quarter to an hour and three-quarters, and Dundee about 81 miles, usually an hour and three-quarters to two and a quarter hours. Aberdeen is about 145 miles, so allow three to three and three-quarter hours.
Carlisle is about 96 miles down the M74, usually an hour and three-quarters to two and a half hours. Manchester is about 216 miles, usually four to five hours, and Newcastle upon Tyne about 152 miles via the A69, so allow three to three and three-quarter hours. Collect by mid-morning and both are realistic same-day deliveries.
Only an older van that doesn't meet the standard. The city-centre zone has been enforced for all vehicles since June 2023 and runs every hour of every day. The Scottish standard is Euro 6 for diesel vans and Euro 4 for petrol, and a non-compliant vehicle is fined £60, doubling on repeat visits up to £480. Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen run similar zones, so mention a drop inside any of them.
Yes, but not to the front door. Buchanan Street runs pedestrianised from Argyle Street to Sauchiehall Street, and Sauchiehall Street is pedestrian at its eastern end, so deliveries go in by the service lanes behind. Bus gates on Union Street and Oswald Street restrict traffic beside Central Station. Our retail courier page covers store work in more detail.
Yes. Glasgow Sheriff Court is at 1 Carlton Place on the south bank, and the High Court sits in the Justiciary Buildings at 1 Mart Street, off the Saltmarket. Our document courier service explains how handovers are recorded, and this guide to court bundle delivery covers labelling and timing.
Yes, both are regular Glasgow pick-ups for us. Tell us the unit, the gate and whether there's a forklift or a loading dock; without one, the job needs a tail-lift van. Our pallet courier service explains the van sizes, and this guide to preparing a pallet for collection covers wrapping and labels.
Yes. We collect from your address anywhere in Britain and drive it straight to the Glasgow drop, whether that's an office in Blythswood or a flat in Dennistoun. If it can arrive tomorrow instead, our next-day courier service is usually cheaper, and we'll quote both so you can choose.
The price comes from the job itself: the distance, the van, the size and weight of the load, how soon it has to go and any loading or waiting time. You get a figure for your exact postcodes before you commit, and this explainer on how same-day courier pricing works shows what pushes it up or down.
Your goods stay on one van with one driver from collection to delivery: no depot, no sort and nobody else's parcels on board. As a Glasgow same day courier we take bookings 24 hours a day, every day, on 020 4576 3438 or online. Goods-in-transit cover is included; this goods-in-transit insurance guide explains the limits.
